God’s Later Rain
1 Timothy 3:16 “ And without controversy great is the [a]mystery of godliness:
God[b] was manifested in the flesh,
Justified in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Preached among the Gentiles,
Believed on in the world,
Received up in glory.”
Colossians 1:26,27 “ the [h]mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. 27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: [i]which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. ”
Ephesians 5:32. “ This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.”
1 Corinthians 15: 51, 52. “ 51 Behold, I tell you a [m]mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. “
Romans 11:25. “ For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own [a]opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.”
Revelation 17:5. “ And on her forehead a name was written:
MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT,
THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS
AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS
OF THE EARTH.”
2 Thessalonians 2:7. “ 7 For the [a]mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only [b]He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.”
These are the seven mysteries of scripture that God has revealed to us through his Word. We can also see how he will remove his church from the earth at his second coming, which reveals another mystery; that of his parousia.
“ For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.”(1 Thessalonians 4:16-18).
“ Behold, I tell you a [m]mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. (1 Corinthians 15:51-53)
“Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.”(Matthew 24:40-41)
“ Because you have kept [a]My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.(Revelation 3:10)
“ Watch therefore, and pray always that you may [a]be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, andto stand before the Son of Man.”(Luke 21:36)
The time is here; it is now my beloved. Put on your armor and use your sword( the word of God). “ Now I know that the Lord saves His [a]anointed;
He will answer him from His holy heaven
With the saving strength of His right hand.
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
8 They have bowed down and fallen;
But we have risen and stand upright.
9 Save, Lord!
May the King answer us when we call.”(Psalms 20:6-9)
It pleased God in his eternal purpose to choose and ordain. The Lord Jesus is only begotten son to be the mediator between God and men. The profit priest and king the head and savior of the church and the air of all things and judge of the world unto whom he did from all eternity, give a people to be his seed and to be by him in time redeemed, called justified, sanctified and glorified.
